Sunday I escaped to the Strange Folk Festival. Check it out here – http://www.strangefolkfestival.com
It’s a yearly craft/art fair that I love to go to about 40 minutes from our house. I enjoy strolling through the booths and looking and drooling over all the beautiful pieces of pottery, art work and jewelry. I don’t often buy anything but this year I did buy 2 fabulous prints to hang –
They are beautiful and I can’t wait to find the perfect spot to hang theses – There was so much to see and look at – pottery, vintage stuffs, handmade sewn items, jewelry, soaps and lotions etc…
Tents from afar – walking into the craft fair.
People everywhere – I had a pleasant time wandering by myself. I consider this a sign of growth. I went alone – and I didn’t even talk myself out of it which I’ve gotten into the habit of doing – a lot. AND I wore a dress. AND I felt comfortable in it.
I enjoyed lunch while sitting and listening to some wonderful music
This was a vegan rice dish – some mushroom or eggplant, spinach, pickled onion on top of rice with a decent sauce on top. I have to say that I wan’t too horribly impressed with the lunch though – the taste was there but it was more “room temperature” than I would have liked and the rice was severely too chewy for me. BUT I’d be willing to go to their brick and mortar restaurant to see if the food is better.
Huge play tent for kids – I could have stood in the middle –
I finished off the day with the best maple bacon cupcake.
Not a combination you would think would work together but it does -and boy was it tasty!
We have a pretty lazy rest of the week – thank goodness – with all of us being sick – It’s probably a good thing we are home – October is looking to be a pretty full month.
Bright Blessings –
