Jaia amazes me on an almost daily occurrence. She loves schoolwork and as I type she is sitting in her room doing spelling. It’s 8:30 here and we don’t start school until NEXT week.
She’s not strong in math but I think science and history are her thing.
She is constantly creating something – Watching videos on how to make barbie doll binders, books, blankets and then scaling them up so they fit an American Girl.
Doll closet with a dowel rod for the hangers.
Making binders for her AG dolls
Using a pillowcase and fabric scraps she created a blanket for her dolls bed.
She sits on the floor of her bedroom using an old wipe off board to protect the floor. She’ll be in there for HOURS and then she strolls out with whatever creation she just made.
I bought her a hot glue gun- I don’t know what I was thinking but she’s created some amazing things with cardboard and hot glue.
Doll sofa in the works.
Doll check out counter with cash register. The cash drawer pulls out and everything!
I was amazed when she carried this out of her bedroom – she said there were no plans so she came up with this herself.
I often wonder where this will take her in life? An engineer? (oh my!) Designer? I can’t wait to see!
My children’s lives are unfolding before my eyes and I am forever thankful for the time that I get to stay home with them.
