This morning, early, Rowan and I went to the barn. With the rain Thursday evening and the threat of thunder storms – we nixed the Thursday night ride. The only way to make Friday work, was to head out early. We were there by 8:00.
I decided I really like morning rides. The sun is coming up, horses are becoming active from their sleep, the farm is waking up. There are no other riders there – the barn is nearly empty.
Early morning .
There are Farriers doing their jobs-
New bedding is being carted to the barn, stalls will be cleaned –
Early morning glow.
It was a good ride. Even though it meant waking up early and actually getting our rears out of the house – I enjoyed the morning hours. The quiet and solitude it brings. It beats being at the barn when dusk and darkness are coming on and we are leaving and shivering in the night.
Bright Blessings –
