Today is one of “those” days –
One of the days I experience on a semi weekly basis – one of those days I will leave my house at 8:30 am and not return home until 8:00 tonight.
I have mixed feelings about these days – they are tiring, wearing, and usually stress me out until everyone is where they need to be ON TIME.
I am also thankful for these days. Thankful I have a car to get the girls and I to where we need to be.
Thankful that we have the money that I can simply put gas in my guzzler without a thought or worry that it’s food or gas.
Thankful that I have a friend who’s willing to let my girlie hang out with her all day so she can go to the City Museum with homeschoolers while I work –
Thankful for homeschooling days!
Thankful for the ability to homeschool
Thankful for the husband and father of my girls that works so hard for us to do these things.
Thankful for protein shakes in the morning and Canes for lunch! LOL!
It will be a good day !
Friday, Jaia gets to go to her very first dance. Our local homeschool group holds several dances a year (and prom!) so our homeschool kids don’t miss out on the fun things of school – The theme for this winter dance is “Superhero” – but NO costumes –
So I made this –
It’s a Butterick Pattern – “Patterns by Gertie” of http://www.blogforbettersewing.com/
And if you can’t see the details – It’s superhero fabric – This was a super fun and actually pretty easy pattern to sew. I realized, in the midst of sewing this dress, that my skill in inserting invisible zippers sucks – so that part is sewn and ripped and sewn and ripped and finally just sewn in place until it LOOKS decent . It will have to do. (and don’t even get me started on the edges! stupid serger!)
Jaia’s happy and I can’t wait to see pictures from the dance!
I hope that if you are having one of “those days” – it at least goes smoothly for you!
